Heather is a hometown girl, having graduated from Holt High School in 2003. In 2007, Heather graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Ferris State University and graduated from Blue Heron Academy in 2009 with a Certificate in Medical Massage Therapy. Heather started Advance Medical Massage in 2010 with her drive to provide the highest quality massage care possible to her clients. Her massage specialties include, but are not limited to, medical, deep tissue, relaxation/Swedish, hot and cold stone therapy, pregnancy and infant, trigger point therapy, and sport. Heather married her high school sweetheart, Sean Hanton, and has two very energetic little boys Callen and Tavin. Heather currently resides in Dimondale, MI.
Kayla is a licensed Massage Therapist. Her techniques flow smoothly in a Relaxation massage, but she can also Perform Deep-tissue, Trigger point, Positional release, and Reflexology. Pregnancy & Infant Massage hold a special place being a mother of two.
Aja has been practicing massage therapy since 2003. She trained at Baker College in a 1,100 hour program. The style of bodywork that Aja practice incorporates Swedish massage, active stretching, and deep therapeutic work, which reduces scar tissue caused by injuries. Aja specialize in working with people of all ages who are athletic and or suffer from various types of tension and pain problems. Aja is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Aja continues to expand her knowledge, experience and expertise in bodywork to enhance her skills to better serve her clients. Aja firmly believe the body has the miraculous power to heal itself, and therapeutic massage can help guide your body in the right direction of self healing.
Karen always having an interest in alternative medicines to balance & heal the body naturally. License in Cosmetology in 2012, Karen decided feet and hands were a draw to her. In pursuing Reflexology she has experience first hand the benefits with her family.
Lino graduated Lansing Community College with his license in Therapeutic Massage and went to MSU for a BA in Studio Arts. He also blows glass for a living. You can find picture of his work at instagram.com/theflamingboxman some items available in out lobby for sale.
Amy Estes graduated Okemos High School in 1976 as Amy Dustan, then Western Michigan University in 1980. Spent some time in Florida, then started a career in Information Technology with General Motors through EDS. This lasted 20 years until she was down-sized, which led to finding a new career in massage therapy. Blue Heron Academy was the school of choice and national certification in Medical Massage Therapy followed in 2009. After 18 months in a day spa, she moved to Sparrow’s Michigan Athletic Club where she spent almost 5 years working on their members and some guests. Starting in October 2015, Amy joined the Advance Medical Massage team to finally build her own practice in her own office. Amy recently finished training in Massage Cupping .
Brianna graduated in 2014 from Lansing Community Colleges Massage Therapy program. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and in Late 2014 finished her training at Beaumont Hospital in Oncology, Hospital, and Hospice Massage. Brianna joined the Advance Medical Massage team in August of 2016.
Dave came to this calling from a place of need. He was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder in 2007, but prior to surgery he was referred to a manual therapist who was able to completely resolve the problem within six months ; he has never suffered a relapse since. As a result of this experience and the relationships formed from it he was inspired to investigate the world of manual medicine. he has certifications in Manual Therapy, Scandinavian Mobilization Therapy, and Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (Neck & Shoulders).
